The 2007 ISOVER EEA was a great success bringing together the passion, the know-how and the commitment of architects and building professionals from around Europe. The diversity of projects and styles, the large range of challenges that were overcome in the most creative ways is testimony to the fact that now more than ever Europe is ready to implement energy efficient buildings.
The winning projects were selected by local juries composed of national experts in architecture and energy efficiency as well as local ISOVER representatives. The judging took place according to strict energy efficient criteria as well as the particularities of the challenges faced by the architects and the creativity of their solutions.
The participating countries were: Austria, Belgium, Croatia, France, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Spain, Switzerland and The Netherlands.
The 2007 ISOVER Energy Efficiency Awards ceremony was indeed a special occasion. Winners from around Europe were flown with a partner to Paris for an unforgettable day and night, including accommodations at the Meridien Hotel. A busy schedule included a private viewing of the documentary ‘Last Call for Planet Earth,’ a lunch-cruise on the Seine and a visit to the Cité de l’Architecture. In the evening the gala diner and awards ceremony was followed by a swinging (and late) night at Paris’ world famous Jazz Club.
